James Ussery Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate James Ussery (San Angelo, Texas), whose life came to an end on July 8, 2025 at the age of 103, leaving behind cherished memories. In the vast expanse of eternity, James shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid James farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Ussery and Eula Ussery (Strawn); his daughter Beverly June; and his wife Clara Ussery. He is survived by: his daughter Carol Sue; his family Carol Hays; his grandchildren, Daryl (Lisa), Deyona (Wade Spradley), Curtis and Rodney (Melissa); and his cousins, Clifton (Hele) and Ryan. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens (San Angelo, TX 76905). A graveside service was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location.
