He is survived by: his wife Melba Smith of San Angelo, Texas; his daughters, Ashleigh Ellen Smith of Houston and Jessica Jean Melton of Memphis, Tennessee; his sister Lynn Hill (Jack) of Magnolia, Texas; his nieces, Lela Kathryn Koerting Hill of Amarillo and Whitney Morgan Elise Hill of Tampa, Florida.; his grandson Tanner Austin Melton of Memphis, Tennessee.; and his extended family, Bert and Sandra Koch of Boerne, Texas.. He is also survived by his daughters, nieces, and grandson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Harper Funeral Home (2606 Southland Blvd, San Angelo, TX 76904). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Rankin Cemetery.
