It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Obera Godwin in San Angelo, Texas, born in Prosper, Texas, who passed away on May 11, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd D. Spradley and Hattie Patterson Spradley; her husband John Paul Godwin; and her son Michael Mercer. She is survived by: her daughter Karla Reaves (Les); her grandchildren, Jim Reaves (Glynis), Karen Reaves Kerr (Chad) and Cody Mercer; her great grandchild Poppy Kate Kerr; her son Paul Godwin (Petra); and her granddaughters, Holly Godwin Conaway (Brian), Heather Godwin Wood (Brandon) and Hope Godwin George (Justin). She is also survived by great-grandchildren; and two bonus great-great granddaughters.
