He was predeceased by: his parents, William Darr Boyd and Birdie Eanes Boyd of Missouri; and his sisters, Virginia S. Boyd, Willie M. Boyd and Helen Boyd Montgomery.
He is survived by: his wife Velma V. Boyd of San Angelo; his son Jeffrey D. Boyd (Lori R. Boyd) of Victoria; and his grandchildren, Olin R. Boyd of Houston and Claire E. Boyd Matthews (Ian C. S. Matthews) of Clifton. He is also survived by one nephew, and nine nieces.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Boyd requested memorial contributions be made to St. Mark Presbyterian Church San Angelo; Concho Valley Home for Girls; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; Shriner's Hospital.
