She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Pearl Hatcher Sanders; her husband Jack Wayne Burns; her father Tom Sanders; and her sister Nancy Nell Hayes. She is survived by: her son Donald Alan Burns (Valerie) of Ft. Worth, TX; her grandson Kevin (Veronica); her great grandchildren, Bryant and Clyde; her granddaughter Kayla (Will); her great grandchildren, Judah, Everett and Oliver; her daughter Eleanor; and her sister Linda Steele of Rock City, NC..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christian Motorcyclists Association's Run for the Son at cmausa.org in care of Marian Burns, member number 12, 754.
