He was predeceased by: his parents, John Horace "Took" Edwards and Dorothy Louise Stevens Edwards of Wall, Texas.; his brother John Wiley Edwards; his sister-in-law Sherrill Kaye Holland Edwards; his wife Marilyn Edwards of San Angelo; his daughters, Allison Edwards of Austin, Texas and Courtney Edwards of Austin, Texas; and his sisters, Margo Dierschke (Glenn) of San Angelo and Kim Krieg (Earl) of Whitney, Texas..

He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Charlie of San Angelo, Marsha Halfmann of San Angelo, Randy of San Angelo, Cathy Bredemeyer of San Angelo, Eddie of San Angelo and Jenny Pinson of San Angelo; and his nephews, Blake Bredemeyer, Brandon Bredemeyer, Derek Halfmann, Drew Dierschke, Reid Pinson and Wade Pinson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the San Angelo Animal Shelter, Holy Angels Catholic Church, Meals for the Elderly (San Angelo), or the West Texas Boys Ranch.
