He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Proffitt and Mildred Proffitt; and his sister Polly. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Feldman; his sons, Steven (Lynnly) and Matthew (Allison); his grandchildren, Tyler, Meredith, Rebecca (Waltz), Abigail, Nathan, Adelynn, Miles and Luke; and his sister Kathy (Fuda).
