He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Lee Monroe and Ellen Louise Monroe; and his brother Hollis Monroe. He is survived by: his son Justin Monroe; his grandson Mekhi Monroe; and his siblings, Dorie Monroe, Betty Pryor, Gwen Stevens, Diane Monroe and Terry Monroe (Paula). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hurley Funeral Home & Crematory (118 W Oaklawn Rd, Pleasanton, TX 78064). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at the Jacob's Chapel Cemetery.
