She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Medack and Louise Zoch Medack; her husband William Wenthe Sr.; and her siblings, Esther Lamp, Elsie Powell, Ludwig Medack, Louise Moeller, Paul Medack, Alice Aalund and Hattie Mitschke.

She is survived by: her children, Bethany Wenthe Thoresen (Ken) of Kapa'au, Hawaii and William Wenthe Jr. (Tracy) of San Antonio; her grandchildren, David Wenthe, Seth Wenthe and Leah Wenthe; her sister Viola Sherk; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Meitler, Marilyn Wenthe, Wilda Wenthe and Marilou Wenthe. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made in Helen's name to Zion Lutheran Church, School Scholarship Fund, "Pam Hight Scholarship Fund" to help families who need financial assistance to attend Zion Lutheran School, Walburg, Texas.
