She was predeceased by: her father Guadalupe Cardenas; her stepfather Joe Aguirre; and her brothers, David Cardenas and Ruben Cardenas. She is survived by: her husband Jose G. Alvarez Jr.; her mother Sofia A. Aguirre; her children, Roxane Porter (Scott) and Jose Alvarez III (Norma Magdaleno); her grandsons, Adan A. Trevino and Joseph D. Alvarez; her great grandchild Jaxon Alvarez; and her siblings, Guadalupe Benavides, Raymond Cardenas and Lisa Martinez.
