He was predeceased by: his parents, Seymour Os and Francene Van Os. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Barrios Van Os; his children, BeeJay Cole, Maya Van Os, Leya Van Os and Kay Cee Cole; and his brother Louis Van Os.
He served on Board of Directors and as Assistant Treasurer, Texas Equal Access to Justice Foundation, by appointment of the Texas Supreme Court, 1985–1995.
