She was predeceased by: her sister Irma Esquivel Teran; and her parents, Reyes Teran and Victoria Lopez Teran. She is survived by: her husband Pascual Diaz; her son Jose Guadalupe Diaz (Janie Diaz); her grandsons, Joey Diaz and P. Roberto Diaz; and her great grandchild Mia Diaz.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Thomae-Garza Funeral Home (395 S Sam Houston Blvd, San Benito, TX 78586). A rosary was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Benedict Catholic Church (351 S Bowie St, San Benito, TX 78586). A burial was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Esparza Cemetery (281 San Benito, TX 78586).
She regularly prepared and sold homemade tamales, enchilada, and chicken plates, donating the proceeds to families facing financial hardship.
