He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert, Sr. Ortega and Alicia Ortega; and his brothers, Eddie Ortega, Richard Ortega (Vicki) and Arnold Ortega (Yolanda).
He is survived by: his wife Perla; his siblings, Grace Ortega Hebert (Louis), Norma Ortega, Laura Ortega Rizo, Omero "Homer" Ortega (Mandy) and Danny Ortega; and his pets, Buddy and Guerita. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
