He is survived by: his wife Rosalinda "Rosie" Chapa of San Diego, Texas; his children, Alice Lee Chapa of San Diego, Texas, Shawn Rodger Ciappa and Robert Chapa of San Diego, Texas; his grandchildren, Robert Chapa Jr., Jordin R. Chapa, Jayden R. Chapa, Javahn R Chapa and Ja'thaniel R. Chapa; his great grandchildren, Alaynnah M. Lopez, Chloe L. Cruz, Chevelle D. Cruz, Roman A. Cruz, Annabelle P. Moctezuma and Sebastian R. Moctezuma; and his sister-in-law Oralia Chapa. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
