He is survived by: his wife Beverly Kay Laidley of San Marcos; his children, Billy Ray Thomas Jr. (Lorie) of China Spring, John David Thomas (Jessica) of Woodway and Dorothy Long (Justin) of Valley Mills; his grandchildren, Jordan Pfannenstiel, Ethan Thomas, Seth Clark, Brandon Thomas, Jonathon Thomas, Kennedy Clark and Brooklyn Thomas; his great grandchildren, Logan Pfannenstiel, Adalynn Clark and Mackenzie Patterson; and his siblings, Roy (Pam) of San Marcos, Merylene Thomas of Seguin, Vinnie Blume (David) of Seguin, Robert Nixon (April) of Louisiana and Roger Nixon (Polly) of Palestine.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McCurdy Funeral Home (105 E Pecan St, Lockhart, TX 78644). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Memory Lawn Memorial Park (19106 San Marcos Hwy, Martindale, TX 78655).
