He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Vargas and Sofia Vargas Sr.; and his sisters, Evangelina V. Rodriguez, Lupe Rodriguez and Irma Mojica.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Ann Gomez (Glenn), Jennifer Bass (David), Jessica Juarez (Gilbert) and Adrian Fred Vargas (Steven); his grandsons, Sebastian, Nick, Gavin, Caleb, Ethan and Noah; his great grandchildren, Adian and Mila; and his siblings, Victor Vargas Jr., Janie Rodriguez, Albert Vargas, Henry Vargas, Terri Gonzalez and Helen Liguez.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomason Funeral Home - San Marcos (2001 Ranch Rd 12, San Marcos, TX 78666). A rosary was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (624 E Hopkins St, San Marcos, TX 78666).
