He is survived by: his wife Margarita Hernandez Mateos; his children, Robert Mateos (Victoria Sanchez), Mariano Mateos, Raquel Mateos, Norma Proffitt and Vivian Jackson; his grandchildren, Araceli Ramirez Mateos, Estefano Mateos-Rivas, Christopher Proffitt (Jessica Martinez), Michael Proffitt, Elizabeth Proffitt, Andres Mateos, Alessandra Mateos, Brian Jackson and Andrew Harrison; and his great grandchildren, Temprance and Mikhail Mateos. He is also survived by five brothers and five sisters.
