He was predeceased by: his father Gordon Thompson; and his granddaughter Addison Thompson. He is survived by: his mother Carolyn Thompson-Jung; his sons, Kyle Thompson Jr. (Kelly), John "Len" Thompson and Drake Thompson; his brothers, Kevin Thompson (Tanya) and Carey Thompson (Sondra); and his significant other Jolene Johnson.
