He was predeceased by: his parents, William Slack and Theresa Slack; and his brother John Slack. He is survived by: his son Boaz (Laura Shearer); his wife Isabel Slack; his daughter Micaiah Shearer; his grandchildren, John David Shearer and Daciana Anzaldua; his great grandchild Callum Shearer; his siblings, William (Mary Slack), Rickard Slack and Liz Slack Raynor; and his sister-in-law Sibylle Slack.

“I'm so sorry to hear about Bob's passing. I always enjoyed meeting up with him on the road. The first time we meet was in 2003 Hurricane Isabel, oh what a time and every hurricane we worked after was a time to catch up. In 2005 Bob and my Dad meet during Katrina what a time hanging out in Ft. Worth. I'm sure they are catching up right now. Dad went on ahead 10 years ago Feb. 12th. Every time I see a blue Pete I think of him. He will be missed. God Bless. Bill Ater Jr.”
