She was predeceased by: her parents, John Milton Brizendine and Melissa DeLeon Brizendine; and her husband H. M. Boswell, Sr. (Sonny). She is survived by: her children, Richard Scott Dawson, Karen Lynn Dawson Isham and Tommy Joe Dawson. She is also survived by her three children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
