He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Lackey and Genice Lackey; his children, Tana Michele Lackey and Scott Allen Lackey; and his brother Tom Lackey.
He is survived by: his wife Geneva Lackey of Sanger; his son Steve Lackey (Christy) of Collinsville; his brother Jim Lackey of Idaho; his grandchildren, Steven Austin Lackey of Marietta, Daniel Cole Lackey of Pilot Point, Curtis James Lackey of Springdale, Cohl Rogers of Krum and Faith Rogers of Krum; and his great grandchildren, Willow Lackey, Aspen Lackey and Wrenley Lackey.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Coker Funeral Home (403 Pecan St, Sanger, TX 76266). A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
