Marland Knight Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Marland Knight of Sanger, Texas. Marland, born on June 9, 1935, passed away on June 5, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Dovie Mae Moore (Bruner); his stepfather Bud Moore; his siblings, Della May Moore, Rozelle Tidwell, Charles Knight and Carley Riggs; and his great grandchild Caleb Knight.

He is survived by: his wife Margie Faye Lawson of Sanger; his children, Steve Knight (Trina) of Sanger, Kathy Knight Higgs (Jeff) of Sanger and Derrick Knight (Christi) of Flower Mound; his great grandchild Steve; his grandchildren, Brandon Knight (Chelsea) and Kyla Fox (James); his great grandchildren, Matthew and Madison; his granddaughter Kathy; his great grandchildren, Cliff Higgs (Rachel), Mitchell Higgs, Chris Higgs (Kaylee) and Derrick; his brother Bob Riggs of Arizona; his sister-in-law Linda Riggs of Arizona; Olen, James, Kyleigh, Hannah, Avery, Paisley, Saylor, Chase Knight (Marissa), Harper, Hudson, Collin Knight (Amy), Korbin, Paxton, Carson Knight and Sutton. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
