He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank J. Dieringer and Alouisa Billeck Dieringer; his wife Irene Pavlicek; his son Dennis; and his siblings, Hilda Bednarz, Elsa Gabler, Pearlie White, Lorene Guentert, Adala Dieringer, Hugo, Frank Jr., Herbert, Helmuth, Oscar, Erwin, Bennie and Clarence.

He is survived by : his children, Katherine, Sandra, Franklin (Jeanette) of Weatherford, Texas, Richard (Roni) of Cabot, Arkansas, Kathy (Susan) of Double Oak, Texas and Sandy (Melvin Linton) of Beulah, Texas; his grandchildren, Sharee Hiatt (Brian) of Denver, Kristina Parker (John) of Las Vegas, Lauren Dieringer of Bryan, Texas, Melvin Linton III (Shelby) of Beulah and Hunter Linton of Beulah, Texas; and his great grandchildren, Kynleigh Linton, Lacey Linton, Melvin Linton IV of Beulah and Ashton Hiatt of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
