She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Otto and Marie Louise Potthast (Baumgarten); her husband Victor Carl Hempel; her son Vincent Carl Hempel; and her siblings, Mary Ann Janecka (Potthast) and Albert "Buddy" Potthast.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Hempel-Medina (Kirk), Michael Hempel and Phillip Hempel (Denise); her grandchildren, Luke, Amelia, Jacob, Katherine and Lauren; and her sister Jaqueline "Jackie" Fox (Potthast).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (410 N Center St, Weimar, TX 78962). A rosary will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Weimar.
