He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hoyle Hicks and Dora Jewel Julian; and his siblings, Edward Lee, Thomas Elton, Charles Dale, Dorothy Merle, Minnie B., Mary Fern and Jewell Joyce.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve Hicks (Peggy) and Terry Hicks; his siblings, Norman Hicks (Carolyn) and Becky Todd; and his grandchildren, Chad, Blake, Tyler, Brandon, Mitchell and Bailey. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
