He was predeceased by: his wife Estelle Ann Herbold Illhardt; his sisters, Linda Dolle (LeRoy), Erna Trenkelbach (Walter), Erma Illhardt and Mathilda Bode (Walter); and his siblings-in-law, Roland J. Herbold, Marvin H. Herbold (Helen), John H. Herbold (Ruth), Leroy Herbold, Pete Schievelbein, John Whitwell, Nola Kleinschmidt (Ernst) and Lucille H. Krenz (Calvin).
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Ann Illhardt and Alan D. Illhardt (Sharon); his grandson Brandon A. Illhardt (Ashley); and his sisters-in-law, Lorene Schievelbein, Lydia Whitwell, Hazel Kutac (Kenneth), Bobbie Jean Herbold and Goldie Herbold. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.
