He was predeceased by: his parents, Ural Sherman Durst and Beatrice Durst; and his siblings, Ollie Bernice Durst Barksdale, Ural Sherman Durst, Jr. and Elmo Durst.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Elizabeth Sutton Durst; his children, Lawrence Herron (Linda), Rodney Durst, Sr. (Mary Ann), Charles Durst, Jr. (Michelle) and Angela Durst (Pele); his grandchildren, La'Thrisa McCalister (Carl), Rodney Durst Jr. (Jazmin), D'Vaye Durst, Sarah Robinson-Durst, Stephanie Jaimes (Joe), Steven Robinson-Durst, Reginal Thompson, De'Anna Williams, Shawanda Johnson and Shaneil Johnson; and his siblings, Eugene Durst, Ida Myrtle Gonzales, Mary Jo Denkins, Sherrie Ann Robinson and Sandra Faye Burton. He is also survived by twenty eight great grandchildren.
