She was predeceased by: her parents, Iva Mae (Wood) and Harry Wilson Carpenter; her son Bill Wilson Bender; her granddaughter Aleta Bender; and her brothers, Donald Wilson Carpenter (Jo Ann) and Louis Marion Carpenter.

She is survived by: her children, Debra Gay Seiler (Michael) and Richard Alan Bender (Michelle); her grandchildren, Michelle Seiler, Russell Seiler, Austin Bender and Shelby Bender; her great grandchildren, Samantha and Lucy Seiler; her nieces, Donna Carpenter, Christi Wickham and Amy Lewis; and her nephew Bobby Carpenter.
