He was predeceased by: his parents, Onvie Leo (Coats) and Henry Otto Garrison (Ottie); his sisters, Cornelia Sipes (Johnnie) and Lenora White (Tommy); and his niece Sheri Thompson.
He is survived by: his friend Don; his children, Janyce Marie (Kester) and Sean Patrick Coats Garrison (Tammy); his wife Helen M. Garrison; his daughter Marie Kester (Kent); his grandchildren, Kyle Kester (Andrea), Grey Kester (Kaleigh), Logan Garrison and Jacob Garrison; his great grandchildren, Valory Kester and Ryker Kester; his caregivers, Monica, Julie, Ashley, BiBi, Linda, Veronica, Desiree, Rosalie and Charlene; and also Helen Marie Powell.
