James Junior Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Junior Smith of Seguin, Texas, born in Paradise, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 10, 2025 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Fay Luersen Smith; his daughter Jacqueline "Jackie" Smith; his grandson Matthew James Vincent; his son-in-law Kevin Mathis; his mother Mary Katherine Smith; and his siblings, Claudia Lawson, William Slagle and Opal Sweet.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Vincent Beck and Fonda Mathis; his grandchildren, Michelle Smith, John Vincent (Robin), Jenna Marie Vincent and Kyle Mathis (Persia); his great grandchildren, Paige Smith Zimmermann (Brady Edmiston), Kylie Fay MyCue (Mason), Ethan Smith Zimmermann, Kaden James, Kamryn Vincent, Hazzel Vincent, Peyton, Lyndon and Carter Smith Velasquez; and his great great grandchildren, Louise Fay MyCue, Lucian MyCue and Lucius Edmiston. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel (165 Tor Dr, Seguin, TX 78155). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
