It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin Lester Gerloff of Seguin, Texas, born in San Antonio, Texas, who passed away on August 16, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Gerloff (Hoffman) and Lester Gerloff; and his niece Brenda Kay Hartmann Schmidt. He is survived by: his friend Kathy; his wife Katherine "Kathy" Lee Gerloff; his sisters, Barbara Hartmann (Alvin "Sonny") and Sandra Germer (Arthur); his stepchildren, Rodney Lee (Liz) and Debra Reiley (Darren); his grandchildren, Kayla Debacker (Randall), Alexander Lee, Tristan Lee, Bradley Reiley (Sabrina) and Megan Reiley; and his great grandchildren, Bennett, James, Sterlee and Landen. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel (165 Tor Dr, Seguin, TX 78155). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
