He was predeceased by : his parents, Helene Ratz (Schade) and Herman Ratz; his sister Inge Philbrook; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Wacker and Billy Joe Hageman.

He is survived by : his wife Constance "Connie" Korsmeyer Schade; his sons, Bob Schade (Wendy) and Tim Schade (Andrea); his grandchildren, Courtney Smith (Zachary), Caitlyn Schade, Caroline Schade and Kinley Schade; and his sisters-in-law, Lil Wacker and Joyce Dinel (Richard). He is also survived by numerous nephews, one niece, other loving family members and many friends.
