He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Martens (Loewen) and Abraham Martens; and his wife Susana Martens. He is survived by: his children, Abraham Martens (Katarina) of Mexico, Frank Martens (Helena) of Bolivia, Cornelius Martens (Christina) of Iowa, Maria Neudorf (Abram) of Bolivia, Sara Neufeld (Henry) of Mexico, Elizabeth Wiebe (Abram) of Argentina, Anna Klassen (Peter) of Canada, Susan Neufeld (Willie) of Kentucky, Lena Martens (Jacob) of Seminole and Margaret Dyck (Abram) of Seminole; his half-brothers, David Martens (Maria) of Bolivia and Isaac Martens (Maria) of Bolivia; and his sister Sara Neufeld of Bolivia. He is also survived by 47 grandchildren, and 78 great-grandchildren.
