He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Gutierrez of Tucson, Arizona and Guadalupe Carrasco of Pecos; his daughter Amy Gutierrez of Pecos, Texas; and his sisters, Irene Aguila and Angelica Juarez of Tucson, Arizona..
He is survived by: his wife Celia Gutierrez; his children, Rene Adam Gutierrez (Sandra Bosquez) of Seminole, Texas, Eva Southerland (Paul) of Odessa, Solia Loya (Noel) of Hobbs and Leslie Ann Rowland (Chase) of Seminole, Texas; and his siblings, Candido Gutierrez (Dora) of Monahans, Texas and Anna Maria Hernandez (Bobby) of San Marcos, Texas. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.
