It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wanda Garrett of Shallowater, Texas, who passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Nidey and Mildred Nidey. She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy VanBuren (Jeff) of Shallowater and Trisha Garrett of Lubbock; her siblings, Keith Nidey (Debbie) of Lamar, CO, Shirley Chenoweth of Lamar, CO and Patsy Wyly (Paul) of Hereford, TX; her grandchildren, Brittney, Brandon, Atlante and Jessica; and her great grandchildren, Roxy, Bentley, Kayden of Sophia, D. J., Henlee, Zoiee, Kohen, Thea and Saphira. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Agape Funeral Chapel (6625 19th St #103, Lubbock, TX 79407). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the 82nd & Ave. V Church of Christ (8207 Avenue V, Lubbock, TX 79423). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fairmount Cemetery Memorial.
