She was predeceased by: her parents, James Oliver Hawthorne and Gladys Melvina Williams Hawthorne; and her siblings, Thelma Davis, Betty Griffin, Allie Hargrove (Sissie), William Hawthorne, George Hawthorne, James Hawthorne and Steve Hawthorne.
She is survived by: her sister Velma Frampton (Baby) of Howe, Texas; her son Doyle Peacock (Lory); her grandson Lukas of Anna, Texas; her daughter Donna Peacock (Sandra Secrest); and her grandchildren, Teresa Bowles (Daniel) of Grand Saline, Texas, Adam Cicalese (Jossie) of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania and Shannon Peacock of Sherman, Texas.. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Waldo Funeral Home (619 N Travis St, Sherman, TX 75090). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the West Sherman Baptist Church (1830 W Washington St, Sherman, TX 75092).
