In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Jenna had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Jenna may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bob; and her granddaughter Lyndsey Garcia (McCarley) of Ames. She is survived by: her children, Carl McCarley (Bridget) of Ames, Kyanne Danowsky (Phil) of Cotopaxi, CO, Maura Torkildson (Pete) of Concord, CA and Tonia McCarley of Ames. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Grandon Funeral Home (414 Lincoln Way, Ames, IA 50010). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at the First Baptist Church (200 Lynn Ave, Ames, IA 50014).
