She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Starkey and Mary Starkey; her husband Ben Summers; her sister Edna Cox; her brother-in-law Harold Cox; and her sister Helen Starkey.

She is survived by: her sibling's children, Christal Bacon and Scott Cox; her great-nieces, Devynn Delap and Taylor; and her great-nephew Logan. She is also survived by several cousins and aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First United Methodist church or Home Hospice Auxiliary.
