He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Hayes; his children, James Hayes (Jane) of Silsbee and Jennifer Root (Michael) of Silsbee; his grandson Justin Hayes (Shelby); his children, Whitney Zare (Ehson), Averie Hayes, Emma Hayes and Bailey Root of Beeville; his great grandchild CJ Hayes; and his sister Alice Thornton of Dallas.
