He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace McClanahan Stott and John Stott, Sr.; his former wife Merle Stott; and his brother John Chester Stott. He is survived by: his wife Culie Faye Avery Stott; his sons, David Stott (Gina) of Bryant, Arkansas, Jonathan Stott (Sheila) of Silsbee and Richard Avery (Erica) of Spring; and his sister Elizabeth Arth of Ohio. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
