He is survived by: his wife Kaye Stephens Unger; his children, Jeffrey Unger of Silsbee, Jodi Freeman of Kountze, Kelley Moulder (Tony) of Silsbee and Karen Maher of Smithville; and his sister-in-law LouAnn Unger of Waco. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
