John will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He was predeceased by: his father Robert Rhodes; and his great-nephew Devon Willis. He is survived by: his cousin Jeff; his mother Joyce Rhodes of Lumberton; and his brother Tommy Rhodes (Darlene) of Town Bluff. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins and lifelong friends.
A memorial gathering was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farmer Funeral Home (415 N 4th St, Silsbee, TX 77656). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Candlestick Drive Baptist Church (130 W Candlestick Dr, Lumberton, TX 77657). A burial was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at the Franks Branch Cemetery.
