We announce the death of Joy Marie Torres-Gore of Silsbee, Texas, who passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 84. Joy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rannie Lou Calloway and William Stanley Hollyfield; her former husband Jack Gore; her husband Esteban "Steve" Torres; her son Freddie Gore; and her siblings, Mary Lou Perrio, Kathryn Rowles, Sonny Hollyfield, Hannan Rufus Hollyfield and Dorothy Cowart.
She is survived by: her son Calvin Gore (Christina) of Silsbee; her grandchildren, Tonya Lynn Gore, Christy Marie Gore, Kyndell Gore Stewart (Justin), Tommy Gore, Meagan Gordon (Rodney), Jack Gore (Kennedy) and Katrian Gardner (Maddox); and her brother Robert Stanley Hollyfield. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Broussard's (490 Cemetery Rd, Silsbee, TX 77656). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
