He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Lorenzo Alvarez and Emeyeciana Alvarez (Castro); his son Eduardo Alvarez; his wife Lucia Alvarez; and his children, Jose Ivis Alvarez, Juan Carlos Alvarez, Ismael Alvarez, Mide Jesus Alvarez, Isabel Cristina Alvarez, Raquel Alvarez and Dora Alvarez. He was also cherished by 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
