It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Pickering of Simms, Texas, who passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Daniel's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He is survived by: his parents, Ann Pickering and Harold "Big Red" Pickering; his siblings, Ivan Pickering (Dana), Mike Pickering, Robin Hammonds (James), Todd Pickering (Robin), Ree Pickering and Glenda Pickering; and his cousin Christopher Meadows. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews as well as many great friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Rock Creek Baptist Church (4341 FM 2149, Maud, TX 75567).
