He was predeceased by: his father Rene M. Cantu, Sr.; his brother Rene Cantu, Jr.; and his daughter Avangelyn N. Cantu. He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Cantu; his children, Devon Cantu, Adenah Cantu and Ayden Cantu; his grandchildren, Annais Cantu, Ava Cantu and Motley Cantu; his mother Olga S. Cantu (Soto); his sister Elizabeth Cantu; and his nieces and nephews, Alex, Avery, Jason, Jaxon Maressa and Jon David.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home-Sinton (606 S San Patricio St, Sinton, TX 78387). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church- Sinton (906 E Sinton St, Sinton, TX 78387). A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the John J. Welder Memorial Cemetery.
