He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Marvin (Black) and Wade Marvin. He is survived by: his wife Olga L. Marvin of Sinton, Texas; his children, Joe P. Fernandez (Eva) of Ft. Worth, Texas and Jessica Fernandez Ramirez (Jackie) of Ft. Worth, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Angel "AJ" Almazan, Zayden Segovia, Andrew Fernandez and Nathan Fernandez.
