He was predeceased by : his parents, Virgil Alva McClanahan and Mildred McClanahan (Jackson); and his sister Julie Storm. He is survived by : his wife Donita Kay McClanahan of Sinton, Texas; his sons, Jason McClanahan (Katie) of San Antonio, Texas, Joel McClanahan (Josette) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Nicholas McClanahan (Mackenna Bye) of Ft. Worth, Texas; his grandchildren, Jackson McClanahan, Jaylee McClanahan, Joann McClanahan, Lennon McClanahan and Charlie McClanahan; and his siblings, Jan McClanahan of Sinton, Texas and Joe McClanahan of Edna, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

“The McClanhan family moved into the house next door to us when I was in elementary school. We all grew up together on SW 7th Street in Premont. Jack was a dear friend, and I am grateful for the many memories I have of him and his family. I am sad that he is no longer with us but happy to have known him. I offer my sympathy to his family.
