As we bid Maria farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Maria is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Sam Mora; and her sons, Ernest, Eddie and Arturo Mora. She is survived by: her children, Manuel Saenz, Gilberto Saenz III of Corpus Christi, Sammy Mora, Jr. of Houston, Janie Perez of Sinton, Rosie Martinez, Nora Couch and Isabel Amos of Houston. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, fifty-six great grandchildren and twenty great-great grandchildren.
