It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Ann Wendell (Sinton, Texas), who passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Rita departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Rita may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Rita leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Mae Dent Foster and Dillard Foster; and her siblings, Betty Jo Fox, Willowdean Legg, Harold Foster, Naomi Cheek, Maybelle Beck, Brooksey Guilliams, Gaynelle D'Arco, Eula Pogue and Henry Foster.
She is survived by: her daughter Debra Wendell; her son-in-law Jeff Evans; and her grandson Becket Wendell-Evans.
